You actually choose your energy; you set the tone for your day. That’s why, even if something goes wrong, you can make the mental shift to be positive in how you approach the roadblock. Ask yourself how you can make the best of this situation.
If you let one bad moment, one cancellation, or sales loss influence your entire day you’re going to exist in constant misery. It also becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. On this latest episode we talk more about:
The trick really is as simple and as hard as asking yourself “what do I need to do to turn this around?” Bad stuff is always going to happen- you need to anticipate that things aren’t always going to go smoothly. But this doesn’t give you an excuse to dwell on the negative, or exist in a place of pessimism.

When you’re navigating through the world of business it can be tempting to solely focus on the big wins. The only successes you see are when you close every deal or make every sale. This is a fast track on the way to burnout, and it discounts all the work you put in behind the scenes. That work doesn’t disappear just because you didn’t reach your end goal.
On this episode of Sell or Die we talk more about:
Small wins mean you’re trying, and regardless of the big end result, they are laying the foundation for you to ultimately succeed. If you’re not counting on shit happening while you attempt to grow your business or close a deal, you’re not living in reality. Life is always going to throw you curveballs that derail your ultimate goal, but a great way to keep morale up is to remember all the little reasons to celebrate along the way.

You should remember every day that your morning mindset is your mindset for the day. And only you have control of it. So if you’re fighting to get up and out of bed, start thinking about all the ways you could be using that time and building momentum. When you kill your own opportunity that automatically creates a negative space in which to start the day. In this episode of Sell or Die we’ll look harder at:
In this episode, we’ll help you get out there and change all the things that make you not want to leave your bed. Life is for living, and if you’re actively seeking ways to avoid it every morning, then that’s the sign of a bigger problem. Only you can control your mindset in any given situation. You are what you think, so starting to focus on goals, ambitions, and positivity if you aren’t already, is critical.

Now more than ever it’s important to monitor what you absorb. From a productivity standpoint, what could you get done if you weren’t binge-watching Netflix? When times are tense, as they are now, it can be really easy to get caught up in the conflicts.
So you have a choice. You can fall down a rabbit hole of negativity, or you can stay positive. You don’t get an award for suffering. And some would argue that by staying positive you keep your resolve and morale up to keep going. That’s why on this episode we discuss:
Just remember, knowing all the details about the bad stuff doesn’t help you change it. And if it’s having an impact on your daily life or mental health, you owe it to yourself to stop being the most informed person you know.

You want to know a secret? We’re pretty sure New Year’s resolutions are on the way out. Instead of beating ourselves up over habits we “should” try and break, or incorporating new ones we hate, we’d rather manifest our DESIRES. What’s the difference?
Well, that’s part of what we get into on the latest episode of Sell or Die. We’re going to talk more about:
It’s all about motivation. If you’re doing something you hate because you’re trying to tell yourself you have to, chances are it’ll last a few weeks at most. BUT if you are changing in the name of attaining some lofty goal you never considered attempting to reach before, you’re much more likely to make changes and stick with them.

We’ve been around the block when it comes to sales, and chances are, if you’re listening to this you have too. Here’s what I know about selling- you can learn to sell, to a degree. But you will always have blind spots blocking the path to ultimate success. This is why I'm here to encourage you to seek out a sales coach. Think that sounds hokey?
Hey, even professional athletes have coaches. Are they experts at their sport? Yes. Do they still need a coach to help them gain perspective on ways to improve? Also yes. And seeking help doesn’t invalidate their skill or expertise. In this episode we talk more about:
Especially if you’re met with big success, it can be easy to want to rest in that. A coach is a great tool to help push you forward and make sure your business is ever-evolving. They can point out areas you never even considered improving or changing, and offer valuable insight on ways to increase audience engagement.

When we look at 2021, we see a stark dichotomy of those who prospered and those who…did not. The pandemic has undoubtedly changed the financial landscape and investment strategies.
That being said, the excuse of the pandemic can only go so far. Some of the loss was egged on by COVID, but the victims probably weren’t in a great financial situation to begin with. We were lucky enough to get to chat with financial wizard Louis Llanes, author of Financial Freedom Blueprint, to brainstorm ways to prevent losses no matter the political and social climate. We take a deeper dive into:
The main crux of our discussion is to make sure you’re saving. That’s the foundation everything else is built on. But having money to save tends to make that easier; go figure. That’s why we also share tips and tricks to make sure your business provides for you in the long haul, and that you are investing in ways that make sense for today, and tomorrow.
This means your money matters need to be consistent, yes, but within a framework of flexibility. You can plan all you want but unfortunately, you can’t predict the future. But you can put consistent practices into place that allow you to weather the storms and become more adept at navigating uncertainties.
Let’s Get Flexible!

Wondering what a moral compass is?
It’s rooted in truth, character, ethics, and attitude.
Truth is a binary—it’s a yes or a no, it’s on or off.
Character has elements. How much integrity do I have? What’s my work ethic? People notice these elements.
Remember, actions speak louder than words—and you’ll be judged by those, not just by what you say. This is ethics.
Your attitude influences every relationship and communication you have and you have control over how you choose to respond in every situation.
One of the things you might want to consider is how good, or “moral,” are your truth, attitude, character, and your ethics?
We’re challenging you to be moral!
For more on your moral compass, listen to the full episode 580 of Sell or Die!

Ready for an “Ah-ha” moment?
We can promise you; we’ve got one in store for you!
So many of us are pushed and pulled and when we hit our limit, we simply react. We don’t stop to think about the fact that our reaction doesn’t have to be a reaction, but instead can be a response.
Wondering how you too can hone in on a better version of yourself FOR yourself, for your business, and for others?
Breathe—which is kind of “woo-woo” when you think about it—how do you breathe??—because you do it involuntarily your whole life!
If you’ve been triggered, you’re going to go off—but if you come at it from a standpoint as you get to control the trigger. You get to pull the trigger and decide when it gets to be pulled, it’s a whole different story and mindset.
We challenge you to become a bit more self-disciplined.

In this episode of The Sell or Die Podcast, we are talking about all things new year’s resolutions, goals, intentions, and most importantly: promises. The promises we make to ourselves are the ones that are hardest to keep, but they also say a lot about how we carry through with other goals and intentions. For those reasons, it’s important to gain an understanding of how you can set yourself up for success with the promises you make.
The topics we discuss are:
Looking at promises the right way and enabling yourself to act on them accordingly can have the best impact on your life, your work, and your relationships. It allows for a burst of self confidence that is impossible to replicate, which is what spurs big wins.

In this episode of The Sell or Die Podcast, Jen and I are joined by Doug Wing, the son of the legendary Hal Wing, and Jill Walls, who is the world-class editor behind Doug’s upcoming book about his father’s legacy. If you don’t know Doug and Hal, you definitely know their brand. It’s called Little Giant Ladders. Hal was the founder of this company and started it from nothing, but now, not only has the company grown into an industry giant, Hal’s legacy has grown to be so impactful that it inspires everyone who hears about him.
The topics we discuss are:
One of the huge lessons Doug learned very early on in life, was that his Dad focused on building a legacy not only for his businesses, but for his family. Building a legacy that others remember and inspire to be is not an easy feat, but Doug witnessed his Dad do just that; and he gathered the stories from those who knew his Dad to prove it.
